Recipient not receiving ,msg attachments when sending using "attach item"
Hi all,
I have a very strange problem with all my outlook users. When sending an internal mail they try to insert emails, calender entries etc as attachments using the "attach item" button on the toolbar. This process works fine, however recipients are receiving
mail without the .msg attachments.
This is happening between internal users on the same mailbox server and hub server.
If the user saves an outlook item and attaches it normally it is sent ok.
Any ideas appreciated

Seems to have been a bug that was fixed with Rollup 2 for Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 2. You may want to get up to RU3 now.
Set-EventLogLevel –id “MSExchangeIS\9000 Private\Message Access” -level Lowest
One or more errors occur when you set the Message Access logging level to "Expert" in an Exchange Server 2007 SP2 server

Hi,
If this issue occur in Outlook, do you use OWA to help you do a confirm?
If not, please use OWA to check whether you have received the .msg attachment or not.
If the attachment is received in OWA, I suggest you to check on your client.
If not, please help me to clarify the following information:
1.
What is the version of your Exchange Server?
2.
Do you install the latest updates for your Exchange Server? If not, please install it.
You also can enable pipeline tracing to help you troubleshoot the problem.
